What Is Urgent Care?
Urgent Care is an outpatient, walk-in service that provides treatment to sick pets who require prompt access to a veterinarian, but do not qualify for emergency care. Urgent Care hospitals are not typically open 24/7 like emergency centers but have extended hours beyond those of primary care clinics, and many are open on the weekends. Urgent Care provides help when:
Conditions are non-critical
No hospitalization is required
No surgery is required
Only basic diagnostics are needed
Pets need help outside of regular business hours
Although urgent care is a walk-in service, we recommend calling ahead to check the availability of our urgent care teams at your local clinic.

Our veterinarians are skilled in diagnosing common problems that affect our pets like vomiting, itching, lumps, limping, and more.

DVM
Dr. Chambers graduated from the Ross University in 2013. Following graduation, she completed an emergency focused internship in Gilbert, Arizona. She then practiced in emergency medicine in the Austin area until she joined Thrive in 2019. Dr. Chambers is married with 2 children. In her “free” time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, powerbuilding and has competed in 3 powerlifiting competitions. While working, Dr. Chambers enjoys the variety of cases that urgent care imparts. She takes special interest in neurology, cardiology, and urgent procedures.
